As survivalist, would it be better to take the freezethrower (upgraded) over the hemogoblin for slowing utility? I heard freeze damage can stop the regen effect (can someone confirm this?) if so, that would be the best third weapon on a build like this, I think. What in the world are you supposed to do in THIS situation? (I realize I may get a lot of suggestions like 'Play Firebug' but that's not what I'm asking) If you don't have an m99 or other insane weapon before the wave starts, are you just screwed?Ģ. I couldn't imagine trying to carry a 6 person game.ġ.

Of course, penetration from the crossbow accidentally aggro'd a second Scrake and it was GG when I got caught on some obstacle in Burning Paris. Even this wasn't enough, along with spamming my other guns. Considering 2 shots to the head is a guaranteed kill every time I play, this was really screwing me over. A headshot from a crossbow will stun if well placed, and I managed to spam 4-6 crossbow shots into their head in a row before having to back up/kite/find ammo/etc.

I killed everything in the map except for some 15+ Scrakes. Of course, my team died again and I was carrying hard (~100+ zeds) for the second time, which I don't mind, but holy hell what is the problem with Scrakes? Constantly dotting them with the hemo + slow, and using the boomstick alt fire to get away, plus using the crossbow to headshot, I managed to kill ONE Scrake the entire time. Some DPS from the hemogoblin was minor, but really helped in slowing down the charging enemies for headshots. In fact, Rioters, Gore Fast, Sirens, were all one shot, and even quarter pounders were two shot in the head. I've noticed in the past having trouble with bloats, because they become even worse bullet sponges, but the crossbow was able to two shot them. Unfortunately, I was stuck on survivalist but with 20 carrying capacity a boomstick, crossbow, and hemogoblin (for my daily challenge) proved a good bit of very useful gear. I couldn't believe how strong the modifier was, and I still think there needs to be some kind of re-balance. Today, we were playing endless suicidal with 4 people and got to UU&D on wave 27. I did the weekly challenge when it was released, and with my friend we beat the boss on our second or third try. Apparently, the wiki isn't up to date on specific values. I realize there was an influx in posts on this topic because of the recent weekly challenge, but as someone who likes to minmax everything from weapon weights, damage per bullet, upgrade cost vs damage, etc, I really wanted some veteran opinions on this.
